Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun capable of suppressing discharge of ineffective electronic components.SOLUTION: An electron gun 13 includes a cathode 30, a cathode support cylinder 31, a cover 47, a support base 33 and a thermal expansion adjustment section 34. The cathode 30 has an electron generation source 37. The cathode support cylinder 31 supports the cathode 30 at the tip thereof. The cover 47 covers the cathode 30 while exposing the electron generation source 37. The support base 33 supports the cover 47. The thermal expansion adjustment section 34 is formed of a material having a thermal expansion coefficient higher than that of the cathode support cylinder 31, and provided on the support base 33 so as to support the proximal end on the opposite side to the distal end of the cathode support cylinder 31, and to expand thermally from the proximal end of the cathode support cylinder 31 for the support base 33 in the opposite direction from the direction toward the distal end.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
