Title:
ELECTRON GUN USING PHOTOCATHODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3268237
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a repetitive frequency to take out an electron beam, and make it suitable for taking out an electron beam of high energy by embedding passages making a refrigerant flow to forcedly cool a conductive vessel in a wall of the conductive vessel.
SOLUTION: One end of a cylindrical vessel 1 is sealed by a copper cover 3, and a passage 10 is formed inside the cover 3. The passage 10 is composed of four passages arranged so as to become the rotational symmetry four times on the axis of the cover 3. Passages 11 and 12 are also formed in the cylindrical vessel 1, and a passage 11 is arranged in a position corresponding to a projecting part 6 in the axial direction of the cylindrical vessel 1, and a passage 12 is formed in the vicinity of an end part in which an opening 4 is arranged. When cooling water is made to flow to the passages 10, 11 and 12, a temperature rise in the cylindrical vessel 1 and the cover 3 can be restrained. Therefore, thermal expansion of respective parts of a high frequency electron gun is restrained, and operational instability by dimensional dislocation of a first cavity 2a and a second cavity 2b can be eliminated.
