Title:
ELECTRON GUN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03182035
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve reliability of an electron gun with the damage to an insulation spacer at the time of soldering evaded by setting the Vickers hardness of first and second electrodes composed of stainless steel to a given value.

CONSTITUTION: In the soldering of first and second electrodes G1 and G2 of an electron gun 9 and an insulation spacer 1, the spacer 1 is arranged between the first electrodes G1r, G1g, and G1b and the second electrode G2 to be heated in a vacuum furnace or hydrogen furnace etc., in a state where the spacer 1 is fixed with a jig to connect the electrodes G1 and G2. The electrodes G1 and G2 are formed with stainless steel, and their hardness is made below 150, preferably 145 or less. Other third - fifth electrodes G3-G5 and a convergence means C are formed with the similar stainless steel to be annealed under a normal annealing condition. The electrodes G1 and G2 are made severe annealing to lower hardness below 150 preferably 145 or less. This prevents the cracking of the spacer 1 at the time of soldering.
