Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron ray sterilization unit capable of suppressing the corrosion of a membrane in an electron ray irradiation apparatus produced upon the cleaning of the inside of a sterilization container caused by a sterilization gas.SOLUTION: Provided is an electron ray sterilization unit including: an electron ray irradiation apparatus equipped with an electron ray generator provided at the inside of a vacuum enclosure and generating electron rays, an injection window provided at the vacuum enclosure and injecting the electron rays generated at the electron ray generator to the outside of the vacuum enclosure and a membrane provided so as to cover the injection window for maintaining the vacuum state in the vacuum enclosure and passing through the electron rays; a sterilization container of storing the electron ray irradiation apparatus; and a shielding mechanism, when the inside of the sterilization container is cleaned with a sterilization gas, shielding the membrane from the sterilization gas and protecting the same. The shielding mechanism includes: a frame part surrounding the circumference of the injection window; a shielding plate capable of opening/closing the part surrounded with the frame part; and a pressing apparatus, when the frame part is closed with the shielding plate, pressing the shielding plate against the frame part, sealing the space part surrounded by the membrane, the frame part and the shielding plate and shielding the membrane from the sterilization gas.
