An image capturing apparatus (electronic apparatus) includes a window section 81 containing a material that attenuates visible light but transmits infrared light (specific light) that does not lie in the wavelength band of visible light, the window section having a front wall 81w having a thickness extending along the direction from the front side 81f to the rear side. Also, the image capturing apparatus includes a light emitter 84 emitting the visible light Lo through an light emitting area Ea1 of the front wall 81w; and a light receiver 85 receiving the infrared light Li through a light receiving area Ea2 of the front wall 81w. The thickness of the front wall 81w related to the light emitting area Ea1 is thinner than that related to the light receiving area Ea2. Consequently, the window for emitting the visible light Lo and the window for receiving the infrared light (specific light) Li can be achieved as one window section (window member) 81, so that the installation space related to these windows are reduced.
