Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit information on an imaging subject of an electronic camera to an external camera in real time without mounting a transmitter on the subject.SOLUTION: An electronic camera 1 comprises: an image pick-up device 12; tracking means 18 for tracking a main subject on the basis of image information acquired by the image pick-up device 12 at predetermined time intervals; and communication means 19 for communicating with an external camera. The communication means 19 transmits imaging request signals to the external camera and, at the time of the transmission and at each predetermined time after the transmission, transmits information indicating the main subject to the external camera.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
