Title:
ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, SENSOR CALIBRATION METHOD, AND SENSOR CALIBRATION PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017166895
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make satisfactory offset correction to a geomagnetic sensor without requiring a specific operation, etc., as will be needed for calibration process by a user.SOLUTION: In a calibration process after magnetization, taking advantage of the fact that magnetic data acquired when the direction of an electronic apparatus 100 is changed while maintaining its posture having an inclination angle α is distributed on a circumference Cb formed by intersection of a sphere Sa of a radius Ra with a specific plane Fb, estimation is made of a center coordinate Pb of the circumference Cb by a statistical method. Next, a magnetic data group corresponding to the posture of the electronic apparatus 100 is extracted from reference information before magnetization that is previously stored in a memory unit 130, and taking advantage of the fact that the magnetic data group is distributed on a circumference Cof a sphere S, estimation is made of a center coordinate Pof the circumference Cby a statistical method. The offset value of a geomagnetic sensor 112 is calculated on the basis of the estimated center coordinate Pb after magnetization and the center coordinate Pbefore magnetization that is extracted from the reference information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
