Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the damage of a liquid crystal display device by preventing the frame part of a casing cover from coming into contact with the liquid crystal display device even if a casing is deflected by impact force or pressing force from outside.
SOLUTION: This electronic apparatus with a liquid crystal display is constituted by housing the liquid crystal display device 5 in the casing, fitting a display window 7 into an aperture 11 of the casing corresponding to its housing position and providing the circumference of this aperture 11 with the frame part 10 for supporting the display window. The thickness in the inner side portion of the casing of the frame part 10 is chipped to make the thickness of the front end portion smaller than the thickness in the root portion of the frame part 10. Even if the casing is deflected by external pressure, the rear surface of the frame part 10 does not come into contact with the liquid crystal display surface, a liquid crystal display holder 4 or the pawl of a liquid crystal display holder 4 and, therefore, the damage of the liquid crystal display device may be averted.
