This electronic apparatus is composed of a motor 130, an object 140 used as the driven member driven by the motor 130, a gear reducer A160 for transmitting power of the motor 130 to the object 140, an optical sensor A120 for detecting a rotational position of the gear reducer A160 to indirectly detect a rotational position of the object 140, and an optical sensor control circuit A110 for changing a driving state of the optical sensor A120 in accordance with an operating status of the object 140, namely, a rotational speed of the motor 130. The optical sensor A120 is intermittently driven by the optical sensor control circuit A, and frequency and duty ratio of the intermittent drive is changed in accordance with the rotational speed of the motor 130.
