To effectively guide a card inserted through a slot to a card access unit, in relation to an electronic apparatus in which a slot for inserting a card is formed, while maintaining the electronic apparatus compact and thin by suppressing the increase of the number of parts.
Provided are: a case in which a slot 17 for inserting a card 41 is formed in an end face; a terminal to be brought into contact with the electrode of the card inserted through the slot 17; a card access unit, which is arranged in a position spaced apart from the slot, stores part of the front end, in the insertion direction, of the card inserted through the slot, and accesses the card through the terminal; and electronic parts placed on a shield plate laid in a bottom surface side where the electronic parts are superposed on the card access unit. The shield plate serves also as a guide plate guiding the card inserted through the slot to the card access unit, in cooperation with the bottom surface of the case.
