To provide disposable self-contained electronic assay device of credit card size for measuring one or more analyzed quantity in body fluid, which performs automatic analysis to indicate the concentration of the analyzed substance and/or another output data in a readable form.
This device is equipped with a housing which has outer surface and establishes inner region. Analyte-processing strips make analyte react with a reagent to produce physically-detectable variation which correlates with selected analyzed quantity of substance in the analyte. Detector responds to the physically detectable variations and generates electrical signal that correlates with the selected analyzed quantity of substance in the analyte. A processor converts the electrical signal into digital output. When the analyte is given to the device, starter automatically operates the processor and the detector. This system is for determining the presence of one or more selected substance to be analyzed in the analyte within the housing and automatically start diagnostic device to analyze the analyte.
