Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic balance capable of simply extending the measurement load range without worsening the load sensor's measurement precision.
SOLUTION: When a measured object is not put on the weighing tray 1, an upward load W0 is loaded on a movable pillar 24 of the Roberval mechanism of the load sensor 2 with a weight 7. Once a measured object with a weight of W is put on the weighing tray 1, a load of W-W0 is loaded on the movable pillar 24 of the Roberval mechanism of the load sensor 2. Though the load value detected with each distortion gauge S1-S4 is W-W0, a compensation value of the load value W0 is added to this value so that W is displayed on the indicator of the electronic balance. Thereby, using a load sensor of a tolerance weight W0 objects ranged from 0 to 2W0 can be measured and the measurement range can be extended twice.
