This camera, which has a dynamic range expansion circuit 32 to operate with an image signal 1 of a photoelectric conversion sensor which is recorded on a DRAM 34 and an image signal 2 from the photoelectric conversion sensor whose exposure is different from the signal 1, converts a dynamic range expansion signal into a prescribed signal by a camera signal processing part 36 and records it on the DRAM 34. The image signal from the DRAM 34 such that it is once stored in a 1 H buffer memory 35 and is given to the circuit 32.
