To realize an electronic camera which can be also provided with a simplified videoscopic function capable of observation, examination and photographing by building a camera part of a digital camera as a separate casing, and supporting the camera part on an elongating/contracting shaft to be freely elongated/contracted and turned to form a movable camera part, so that the movable camera part can be inserted from a gap such as a void which is not directly visible with naked eyes, an engine part of a car, the inside of a U-shaped groove, the ceiling cavity and the like.

A CCD camera part in the electronic camera is built as the separate casing, which is supported on one end of the elongating/contracting shaft whose length is freely elongated/contracted to be turned orthogonally with the shaft to constitute the movable camera part, and further, the base of the elongating/contracting shaft is pivotally supported for turns on the main body casing. The movable camera part is ordinarily compressed compact for carriage and use, and is elongated and turned as needed, thereby realizing the electronic camera also equipped with the simplified videoscopic function and available for multipurpose uses.
