To suppress image quality degradation derived from shake of an imaging device caused by vibration occurring from a main capacitor in performing flash photography with an electronic camera having a built-in flash device.
An electronic camera 100 is equipped with a flash device. The electronic camera 100 comprises: a body mount 110 provided in a front part of a camera main body for removably mounting a photographic lens thereon; a mount holding part 200 for holding the body mount 110; an imaging device 214; an exterior member 102 for covering at least a front face of the camera main body; and a main capacitor 150 for temporarily storing emission energy for the flash device. The main capacitor 150 is disposed in a space surrounded by the imaging device 214, the body mount 110 and the external member 102 on a non-grip side on the right hand side of an optical axis of the photographic lens when the electronic camera 100 held in a horizontal position is seen from a subject side, and is fixed on the mount holding part 200.
