Abstract:
To facilitate photographing of a face in accordance with contents of a photographing mode.
An electronic camera is characterized by comprising: an imaging device which captures a subject image and generates an image signal; a face detection unit for detecting a face region on the basis of the image signal from the imaging device; setting means for setting a photographing mode; and setting means for setting detection accuracy of the face region in accordance with the photographing mode set by the above-mentioned setting means.
