Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera in which data processing is performed by effectively utilizing wait time for data write processing when utilizing a flash memory as a recording medium for image data in the electronic camera.
SOLUTION: A CPU 6 writes luminance/color difference data of a block to be next encoded into a compression/expansion part 7 in interrupt control processing by utilizing the wait time (idle time) in the case of writing when writing encoded data into a flash memory 5 for the unit of a block and sets image data to an encoder 8. The CPU 6 carries out data write processing or data set processing to the compression/expansion part 7 and the encoder 8 in a distributed way by utilizing the wait time for writing the encoded data into the flash memory, such as recording processing time of image data during photographing is shortened.
