Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which prevents the picture quality deterioration due to the dark current, etc., at a low cost. SOLUTION: The camera comprises a reference plate 6 made from an aluminum plate, etc., for receiving heat generated from solid state imaging devices 1, a heat pipe 8 for transferring the heat of the reference plate 6, a battery case 10 to which the heat of the heat pipe 8 is transferred, an armor 11 for naturally dissipating heat of the battery case 10, a power source 21 removably mounted in the electronic camera and a battery case insert 23 inserted in the case 10 provided on the power source. The case insert 23 contains a cooler thermally contacted to the case 10 to thereby cool the case 10 and hence the solid state imaging devices 1.
