An operation timing is controlled based on mutual operations between a measuring device 3 and a reporting device 9 by a control circuit 4 provided in this electronic clinic thermometer, and thereby simultaneous execution of the measuring operation and the reporting operation is prevented, and lowering of the measurement accuracy caused by lowering of the battery voltage is also prevented. The electronic clinic thermometer is equipped with the measuring device 3 for measuring a body temperature, a driving device 8 for recording reported data, the reporting device 9 for performing the reporting operation by a driving signal formed based on the reported data, and the control circuit 4 for controlling the measuring operation and the reporting operation. The control circuit 4 controls for shifting the operation timing of the measuring device 3 and the operation timing of the reporting device 9 based on the mutual operation states, to thereby avoid simultaneous operation of the measuring operation and the control operation.
