Abstract:
To provide an electronic component in which a conductive resin layer is unlikely to peel off of an elementary body and moisture resistance reliability is improved.SOLUTION: A multilayer capacitor C1 includes: an elementary body 3 which has a rectangular parallelepiped shape and has a pair of main surfaces 3a, 3b, a pair of end surfaces 3e and a pair of side surfaces 3c; and external electrodes 5 arranged in both end parts of the elementary body 3 in a third direction D3. The external electrodes 5 have second electrode layers E2 formed in the way that they cover areas nearer the main surfaces 3a on the end surfaces 3e. When seen from the third direction D3, the whole of a first electrode layer E1 is covered with a second electrode layer E2. When seen from the second direction D2, height of the second electrode layer E2 in the first direction D1 is greater at the end in the second direction D2 than in the center in the second direction D2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
