Abstract:
To provide an electronic component in which occurrence of cracks in the body is restrained, and moisture resistance reliability is improved.SOLUTION: A body 3 has a pair of principal surfaces 3a, 3b, a pair of lateral surfaces 3c facing each other, and a pair of end surfaces 3e facing each other. External electrodes 5 placed, respectively, on both ends of the body 3 in the facing direction of the pair of the end faces 3e (third direction D3) has a second electrode layer E2(conductive resin layer), and a second electrode layer E2(conductive resin layer) separated from the second electrode layer E2. The second electrode layer E2is formed so as to cover a part of the principal surface 3a, a part of the end surfaces 3e and a part each of the pair of lateral faces 3c continuously. The second electrode layer E2is formed to cover a part of the principal surface 3b, a part of the end surface 3e, and a part each of the pair of lateral surfaces 3c continuously.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
