PURPOSE: To easily input data such as drive conditions or the like into an electronic component installation system in a short time by a method wherein arrangement table data where data such as drive conditions are set for each type of product are formed in identification codes, and read arrangement table data are stored in the system.
CONSTITUTION: The arrangement table data of a type of product are previously stored in a memory. In this arrangement table data, basic drive conditions such as the drive number of mounting heads, the hopper number HPNO of feed hoppers correspondent to the mounting location ML of the feed hoppers used for feeding components, the delivery number of electronic parts from the feed hoppers, the part code PTC and the part type PTT of electronic parts housed in the feed hoppers, and the like are recorded. Arrangement table data represented in bar codes are previously prepared, so that arrangement table data can be easily inputted. Therefore, the input operation of drive condition data can be remarkably lessened in labor hour and prevented from being mis- executed.
