To provide a component mounter in which mounting accuracy of electronic component can be enhanced, while shortening the mounting tact by preventing vibration in a process where an electronic part is taken out by means of a rotary head and mounted onto a circuit board.
The electronic component mounter comprises a rotary head supporting a plurality of mounting heads in a groove, made in the outer circumference of a tubular support and moves the plurality of mounting heads, respectively, in the circumferential direction of the tubular support, thus mounting an electronic component on a circuit board. The mounting head is supported through a cam follower touching the circumferential groove, while rolling and engaging therewith. The tubular support is provided, at a partially cut position of the circumferential groove in the circumferential direction, with a groove continuous to the circumferential groove, and a slider 50 for driving the cam follower up and down is placed in the groove. Lines (J1-K1, J2-K2), connecting the groove face 38 of the circumferential groove touching the cam follower while rolling and the groove face 39 of the slider, are inclined by a specified angle with respect to a radial line from the center of rotation O of the cam follower 40.
