To provide an electronic component which has a stable electrical characteristic (frequency characteristic), regardless of mounting accuracy and has superior reliability to connection with a mounting substrate.
First and second terminals 24a, 24b are formed extending from first and second side surfaces 18a, 18b of a filter 10A to a bottom surface 16b thereof. When the filter 10A is mounted on the mounting substrate 28 of a communication device, the first terminal 24a is jointed to a first wiring pattern 32a with a solder 34a, and the second terminal 24b is jointed to a second wiring pattern 32b with a solder 34b. In this case, the first and second solders 34a, 34b are shaped to make contact tightly with the surface of the first terminal 24a and the surface of the first pattern 32a, and with the surface of the second terminal 24b and the surface of the second pattern 32b therealong, respectively.
