PURPOSE: To prevent the corrosion of the cooler by adding plural corrosion inhibitors which selectively exhibit corrosion preventive performance to plural metallic materials into a cooling medium.
CONSTITUTION: An electrode element 9 is installed within the cooling water system of the cooler for an electronic computer consisting of the plural metallic materials. AC voltages of a high-frequency and low-frequency are impressed to the electrodes of the electrode element 9. The impedance value between the electrodes is measured by a measuring instrument 11 which continuously measures a corrosion resistance value and a soln. resistance value. The concn. state of the corrosion inhibitors is analyzed from the resistance value measured in a controller 12 and a reference resistance value. A flow rate control valve 15 is opened to introduce the inhibitors in a corrosion inhibitor storage tank 13 into the cooling system when the measured resistance value falls to the reference value or below. The inhibitor of the inorg. system of the corrosion inhibitors is effective for iron systems and the inhibitor of the org. system is effective for copper systems and, therefore, both are used by mixing both.
