PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control array antenna device which can provide a sufficient gain even in the range of low elevation angle and has directivity suitable as an antenna for wireless LAN.
SOLUTION: Along the outer peripheral edge of a circular finite reflector 1 having a diameter of about 1 wavelength (λ), a cylindrical skirt 11 having a width for about 1/4 wavelength is provided downward. On the central part of the upper surface of the finite reflector 1, a radiation element 2 having a length of 1/4 wavelength, for example, is provided and on the peripheral part thereof, a plurality of parasitic elements 3 are provided at equal intervals. In this case, the interval of the radiation element and the parasitic element 3 is set to about 1/4 wavelength. Power is supplied from the downside of the finite reflector 1 to the radiation element 2 by a coaxial line 5. Besides, on the downside of the finite reflector 1, a variable reactance element 12 such as varactor diode, for example, constituting a passive circuit is mounted at the lower part of the parasitic element 3. Concerning this variable reactance element 12, reactance is variably controlled by an electronic control circuit so that the directivity of the antenna can be controlled.
