PURPOSE: To improve the usability by rotating the lower decoration of a merry- go-round for toy by a DC motor, and simultaneously, pounding music by a melody circuit by a melody IC, and selecting the kind of a melody by synchronizing with an operation of the DC motor.

CONSTITUTION: When a power source switch SW5 and forward rotation actuating switch SW4 are turned on, forward rotation driving transistors Q12, 32 are turned on and the lower decoration is rotated forward by a DC motor M. Simultaneously, a melody circuit MC is subjected to electric conduction through a diode D1, and in this case, a melody kind selecting signal of a high level is supplied to a terminal MSL of a melody IC 7910, therefore, a quiet melody such as a cradle song, etc., is generated from a loudspeaker SP. Also, when an output shaft of the DC motor M is rotated backward by external force, a rotation detecting transistor Q21 is turned off by its induced electromotive force, backward rotation driving transistors Q22, Q42 are turned on and the DC motor M is rotated backward, and also, a melody kind selecting signal of a low level is supplied, and a pleasant melody is generated.
