Abstract:
The present invention calculates the rotation speed or rotation time for a certain angle of a crank shaft on the basis of the variation in detection signals from a sensor of the crank shaft. Further, the present invention acquires information relating to the rotation speed or rotation time for at least two combustion cycles when combustion cylinders have been switched, and calculates a combustion phase on the basis of the rotation speed or rotation time. As a result, it becomes possible to detect a combustion state of an engine with high accuracy by using the sensor that measures the rotation of the crank shaft.
