Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic control device for securing the minimum required convenience of a user even when an integrated encryption processing circuit breaks down.SOLUTION: The electronic control device includes: an encryption processing circuit for performing encryption processing including the encryption of data and the decryption of the encrypted data; a monitoring part for monitoring the operation state of the encryption processing circuit; a storage part for storing encryption processing software for performing the encryption processing; and an arithmetic part for, when the encryption processing circuit is normally operating, allowing the encryption processing circuit to perform the encryption processing, and for, when an abnormality is generated in the operation state of the encryption processing circuit, allowing the encryption processing software to execute the encryption processing instead of the encryption processing circuit.
