Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electronic control throttle device not giving bad influence on startability of an internal combustion engine by early executing diagnoses of both of a power source cut-off device of an actuator and a return spring just before start of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A diagnosis is started simultaneously with key-on to keep a throttle valve opening to a target throttle valve opening 1 at an opening side with respect to a default opening, and when a prescribed time 1 has passed in waiting the target valve opening 1 (steps 401-403), abnormality of a throttle power source relay is determined and a mode is transferred to a fail-safe mode (step 411). When the opening reaches the target valve opening 1 in step 402, the throttle power source relay is cut off, and when the throttle valve is closed within a prescribed time 2 in waiting the opening of the throttle valve opening to reach the prescribed opening or less within the prescribed time 2 (steps 404-406), the throttle power source relay is re-connected, a throttle power source relay normal flag is set, and a return spring normal flag is set (steps 407-409).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
