To provide an electronic controller capable of performing self-diagnosis by data stored in a nonvolatile memory when detecting an abnormal condition of an electronic control device by a sensor in a movable body and to provide a data storage method for the electronic control device for analyzing cause of occurrence of abnormality of the electronic control device accurately without increasing processing load of a CPU and capacity of a ROM.
This electronic controller is provided with a first data storage means 2 for holding data acquired by the sensor in the movable body temporarily, a second nonvolatile data storage means 3 for storing data in the first data storage means at a predetermined sampling interval, and a storage means 8 for storing a plurality of data items related to the data acquired by the sensor in advance. The data related to the specific data item selected from among the plurality of data items in the storage means is taken out of the first data storage means and is fed into the second data storage means.
