PURPOSE: To set plural program search positions only with a reset switch and a memory switch by using a memory which is stored with plural values, and generating a stop signal when a counter value attains to a value stored in the memory and performing stopping operation.

CONSTITUTION: When one count pulse 5 is inputted to a counting part 1, the counted value is increased or decreased by one according to a counting direction signal. Then it is checked whether the memory switch 6 is pressed or not and a stop signal 7 is reset in normal mode where in the switch is not pressed, thereby stopping the processing. In program search mode in which the switch 6 is pressed, on the other hand, a memory reference index is set to '1' and the counted value is compared with the value stored in a memory 31 in a repetitive loop. When the counted value coincides with the value stored in the memory 31, the signal 7 is outputted and when not the index is set to '1' plus '1', i.e. '1' and the counted value is compared with the value in a memory 32. The signal 7 is reset unless no coincidence is obtained and the processing is finished.
