Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable normal control even when communication abnormality occurs concerning a system for performing control by sending control information from a PC to a video camera.
SOLUTION: Various kinds of control information sent from a PC 103 through an IEEE1394 cable 78 to a video camera 5 are temporarily stored in a RAM 70. When a PC mode ends, the temporarily stored control information is transferred to an EEPROM 72. When any communication abnormality is detected, a CPU 76 performs control while using the standard value of control information in the EEPROM or of control information stored in a ROM 71.
