Abstract:

To provide an electronic device in which click feeling of one operation ring can be turned on/off with a single touch.

An electronic device includes: an operation ring 2 of which rotation operation can be performed; and a click feeling providing mechanism that provides click feeling to rotation of the operation ring 2. The click feeling providing mechanism includes: plural recesses 21 that are formed in the operation ring 2; a ball 7 that is disposed at a position facing the arrangement of the plural recesses 21 and is engaged with and disengaged from one of the recesses 21; and a coil spring 61 that holds the ball 7 at one end and biases the ball 7 toward the operation ring 2. The click feeling providing mechanism is connected with a control mechanism for changing bias force by the coil spring 61. The control mechanism includes: an operation piece 3 of which reciprocating operation between two positions can be performed; a movable piece 50 that holds the other end of the coil spring 61 and displaces the position of the other end in an approaching and separating direction to the operation ring 2; and a conversion mechanism that converts movement of the operation piece 3 into movement of the movable piece 50.
