Abstract:

To provide an electronic device which can prevent a 3rd party from taking illegal reverse analysis.

The electronic device is provide with an authentication function of deciding whether a debugging function is allowed to be used. The authentication function sends command data to an external device connected to the electronic device based on a debugging request including specification of a specific address range of an internal circuit of the electronic device, performs 1st authentication based upon the command data and response data to the command data received from the external device and 2nd authentication based upon a user code received from the external device successively to the response data, and allows the debugging function to be used through the 1st authentication and the 2nd authentication.
