Abstract:

To provide electronic equipment capable of efficiently controlling the operation of external equipment such as a portable music player.

A headset 1 is provided with a speech recognizing means and the external equipment can be controlled through voice input from a microphone 105. Further, this headset 1 is provided with a PTT switch 106 for instructing the execution of speech recognition processing so that a user can perform the speech recognition processing in timing to his or her speaking. Furthermore, this headset 1 is characterized in that the PTT switch 106 is provided to an ear pad 101 on the opposite side from an ear pad 102 where the microphone 105 is provided to prevent noise such as an operation sound during operation from being inputted from the microphone.
