A PC-card 20 including an antenna is mounted in a main body of the device 14 that permits installation and removal of the PC card 20. The main body of the device 14 includes a connection part communicating data with the mounted PC-card 20, and a modem part and modular jack sending/ receiving the data communicated with the connection part through the public line. A card slot holds the PC-card 20 so that the antenna is located further away than the center position of the device 14 along the height direction from the surface where the main body of the device 14 is installed.
