Abstract:
To provide an electronic device capable of easily performing improvement for a security function and usability.
The electronic device is provided with a device body 2, a cover member 3 formed against the device body 2 in a freely opening and closing state, an operation restraining means 33 restraining or releasing external operation arranged on the device body 2, and a fingerprint authentication device 5 having a fingerprint sensor 11 controlling motions of the operation restraining means 33 based on an authenticated fingerprint. At least the fingerprint sensor 11 of the fingerprint authentication device 5 is detachably formed on the device body 2 at the basis of fingerprint authentication.
