Abstract:
To provide an electronic apparatus that can make a transition to a power-saving state at an appropriate timing, and until the transition to the power-saving state, allows a user to quickly check display on a display (such as an electronic viewfinder) that can be visually recognized through a proximity part.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus of the present invention performs display on a display that can be visually recognized through a proximity part. When approach to the proximity part is detected, the electronic apparatus controls the state of the electronic apparatus to be in a predetermined state to reduce the power consumption of the electronic apparatus in response to the lapse of a first time with no operation for an operation member, and when approach to the proximity part is not detected, controls the state of the electronic apparatus to be in the predetermined state in response to the lapse of the first time with no operation for the operation member or the lapse of a second time shorter than the first time with no operation for the operation member and no approach to the proximity part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
