Abstract:
To solve the problem in which, if a touch response area of a pupil is expanded too much, it is difficult to select a face, which may increase erroneous operations.SOLUTION: The electronic device includes: a detection unit capable of detecting a face and a pupil of the face from an image; and a designation unit for designating a position on a display screen where the image is displayed on a display unit. The electronic device divides a face area on the basis of the detected face size into three areas in a direction toward the face, an upper left area, upper right area, and a lower area. When a position in the upper left area is designated by the designation unit, the left pupil facing the face is selected. When a position in the upper right area is designated, the right pupil facing the face is selected. When a position in the lower area is designated by the designation unit, control is performed to select the face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
