Abstract:
To provide an electronic element for electronic photochromic spectacles capable of increasing a freedom degree of lens shape.SOLUTION: An electronic element (20) for electronic photochromic spectacles combined with a lens (19) to acquire dimming effects by supply of an electronic energy, includes substrates (21 and 22), a pair of transparent electrode layers (24 and 25) provided on the substrates, and a dimming layer (26) provided between the pair of transparent electrode layers. The electronic element includes a seal material (32) for covering at least parts of the transparent electrode layers, at a peripheral region (E2) outside a dimming area (E1) where the pair of transparent electrode layers and the dimming layer are superposed. The pair of transparent electrode layers respectively include overhanging portions (24a and 25a) extending to the peripheral region and the overhanging portions come into contact with the seal material without other conductive members interposed therebetween.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
