Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope apparatus capable of preventing lesion from being missed.SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus comprises: an imaging device receiving light from a subject living tissue and outputting image signals according to the received light; a display unit displaying a color image of the subject based on the image signals; a feature quantity storage unit storing feature quantities indicating the size and colors of a specific lesion; a feature detection unit detecting, from within the color image, a feature region having a predetermined size and predetermined colors indicated by the feature quantities; and a position information display unit displaying, on the display unit, the information indicating the position of the feature region when the feature region is detected by the feature detection unit within the color image. In this context, the predetermined size means a size corresponds to contiguous pixels of a predetermined number among a plurality of pixels contained in the color image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
