Abstract:
To make an electronic device continuously operable even when detecting an error in a memory used in the electronic device.SOLUTION: An electronic device includes: a memory that has a plurality of memory areas; a processor that executes a program held in the memory and executes a test of the memory; and a specification modification unit that determines an access specification for accessing the memory to avoid a memory area where an error is detected and instructs the processor to restart when an error in the memory is detected in the test. The restarted processor executes the program expanded in the memory to avoid the memory area where the error is detected based on the access specification determined by the specification modification unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
