Abstract:

To provide electronic equipment having a mechanism for deciding whether or not a radio signal for remote control can be transmitted.

A personal computer 2a has a function to be operated by receiving a remote control signal from a head set 1 and on the other hand, a personal computer 2b does not have the function for receiving the remote control signal. The head set 1 stops transmission of the remote control signal and informs in the case that a partner can not receive the remote control signal when some sort of remote operation is performed by a user and informs the user of a fact that the operation is invalidated due to a fact that the partner can not receive the remote control signal by output of a beep sound 1. In addition, when the remote control signal is transmitted, however, a response that the remote control signal can not be accepted is received from the partner, the user is informed of a fact that the operation is invalidated due to an erroneous operation by output of a beep sound 2.
