PURPOSE: To facilitate reproduction and a program reservation of a musical piece with a high selection frequency.
CONSTITUTION: As a means forming the selection frequency data of the musical piece with a high selection frequency, a memory table 31 storing the individual data of respective optical disks 6 such as a disk catalog number read out from its information area when the reproduced optical disk 6 is e.g. a video CD, and an absolute address, etc., when a CD-G, a CD-DA, CD, etc., is provided. Further, based on the individual data, disk numbers unique to respective optical disks 6 are added. Then, whenever a track (composition) is selected by regular selection reservation, the number of times of performance of the track is added, and further, they are sorted and stored in order of higher selection frequency to be controlled as the selection frequency data of respective tracks. When frequency selection is performed, a selection frequency table is formed based on the selection frequency data (disk number, track number) to be displayed on a CTR 5.
