Abstract:
PURPOSE:To selectively use a fixed type and a portable type by involving a first memory means to involve a portable type memory medium, a second memory means to involve a fixed type memory medium and a means to select either of retrieval information of the portable type memory medium or the fixed type memory medium. CONSTITUTION:An optical disk device 33, which is a first memory means to involve an optical disk 34 as a portable type memory medium, and a magnetic disk device 31, which is a second memory means to involve a magnetic disk 32 as a fixed type memory medium, are involved in a memory device, and a selecting means 35 to select either of retrieval information of the optical disk 34 or the magnetic disk 32 corresponding to a use and to give it to a retrieval means 40 is involved in an electronic filing device 30. When the retrieval information is controlled with the optical disk 24, retrieval can be executed everywhere with carrying the medium, besides, when it is controlled with the magnetic disk 32, the medium can not be carried, but it can be controlled over the plural optical disks. Thus, the portable type and the fixed type can be used selectively while keeping their advantages.
