To output signal required for generating the record of a game of Go to a Go game record generating device by forming a Go stone with a soft magnetic material, forming a Go board with a nonmagnetic material, liftably arranging lift bodies directly below the crosses of the Go board, and arranging switches turned on or off in response to the vertical movement of the lift bodies.

A Go stone 6 is formed with a soft magnetic material 7 such as a soft iron sheet and white or black glass or a synthetic resin 8 surrounding it. A Go board 1 of a nonmagnetic substance is carved with the crosses of the Go board 1 on the upper face of an upper layer section 11, holes 14 penetrating the crosses are bored on a lower layer section, lift bodies 15 made of a rod-like permanent magnet are inserted into them, and reed switches 10 are arranged directly below them. The reed switches 10 are fixed to the lower layer section 12 of the Go board, and their on/off-states are outputted to a Go game record generating device via printed wires and a cable as Go stone presence/absence information signals. When a Go stone 6 is put on a cross, the lift body 15 is lifted by magnetic force, the contact point of the reed switch 10 is turned on or off, and the signal is outputted to the Go game record generating device.
