Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase response of an engine speed control to a target speed command value by an amount of accelerator control.
CONSTITUTION: A throttle valve 3 of an engine 1 is opened and closed by a stepping motor 5. An accelerator opening is detected by an accelerator sensor 10, and ignition signals for actual rotational speed is detected by a distributor 11. Then a controller 14 determines a target opening of the throttle valve 3 based on the deviation between a target rotational speed for the accelerator opening and an actual rotational speed detected by the distributor 11, and drives the stepping motor 5 by PID control so that the target opening can be attained. Also the controller 14 drives the stepping motor 5 by schedule control to open the throttle valve 3 forcibly at a specified opening without using PID control when the accelerator opening is varied beyond a specified value for each unit of time. Thus the throttle valve 3 can be opened and closed immediately.
