PURPOSE: To enable spark advance and closed angle to be arbitrarily controlled in an electronic ignition system of an internal-combustion engine by disposing a capacitor charging/discharging circuit whose characteristic may respond to the spark advance and the closed angle.
CONSTITUTION: Two pick-ups 1 and 2 integrated in a distributor generate signals A and B every 180°. As shown by the waveform C, a revolution number detecting circuit 4 received either one of the signals while a spark advance setting circuit 5 receives both of them. The revolution number detecting circuit 4 generate a signal shown by the waveform D of a level depending on the revolution number. The closed angle setting circuit 6 generates a signal whose level is increased according to the revolution number shown by the waveform E. A comparator 8 sets the closed angle and generates an ignition signal shown by the waveform G. The spark advance and the closed angle are thereby arbitrarily controlled.
