PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic imaging apparatus capable of preventing damage to an SH blade or an imaging element caused by sunlight during power-off.SOLUTION: A light-shielding plate driving unit for driving a light-shielding plate to a position for covering an opening of a translucent mirror holding frame is arranged on the undersurface of a mirror box. The light-shielding plate is driven during power-off to prevent sunlight from passing through a translucent mirror and being incident to an SH blade or an imaging element.
